Glazed Baby - Squeeze The Tail, Suck The Head - Seven inch vinyl on Allied Recordings
Boston, MA's disturbingly named Glazed Baby released two mid-'90s albums -- 1994's Karmic Debt and 1996's Atomic Communists -- containing Melvins-styled alternative sludge metal. By the time the latter disc hit the streets, guitarists Josh Newton and Joel Hamilton had reportedly already quit the group, and the remaining members, bassist Dale Cunningham and drummer Andy, didn't last very long without them.

Saint James Infirmary - S/T - Vinyl album on Allied Records

The Jack Saints / The Idiots - Split - CD
With frontman Lance Hahn always at its core, J Church began in San Francisco in 1992. The original lineup was completed by bassist Gardner Maxam (who was in The Sharx, and played with Lance in his previous band, Cringer) and drummer Aaron Olson. The group was named for the San Francisco Muni Metro line that Hahn took down Church Street to work, as well as to band practice in the the early days. Through the years, Lance was joined by a vast array of musicians in an ever-evolving J Church lineup.

Forging new territory for the mid-90’s HardCore/Screamo/Metal scene, Scrog combined all the elements of Tampa, Florida’s heavy reputation with introspective lyrics to make heavier, slower, louder mayhem that was intensified tenfold during each live performance. With a backdrop of fully stacked Ampeg’s, it was these live sonic attacks that left the heart pounding, the brain thinking, and the walls rumbling.
